Update on Rani from SOS Children's Village, June 2013)

Dear Friend, Greetings!

We send you warm greetings from SOS Children's Village Kolkata and our grateful feelings for your help over the years extended to your child. With pleasure we invite you to read along and share with us the recent developments that took place in her life.

Rani is studying in Bidhannagar Municipal School, Kolkata. You will be happy to hear that Rani has secured B grade marks in her annual examinations. She is promoted to Class Ill this year. She is appreciated for her sober behavior and punctuality in class. She secured good marks in almost all subjects. She has improved in Mathematics and English this year. She won 2nd Prize in 200m race and athletics on her Annual Sports Day. She dressed as a freedom fighter in fancy dress competition and won 3rd prize. The competition was held between three primary schools in local city up to Class V.

During leisure time Rani loves to play badminton and outdoor games. She watches cartoons and animated films with her friends. A volleyball teacher is recruited for training her along with 40 girls every evening. She prefers eating non-vegetarian food cooked by her mother. She is continuing her yoga and cricket classes in village. In the month of November Rani and her classmates went to Eco Tourism Park, Rajarhat. lt is a nice place with large rose garden and musical fountain. The children enjoyed various rides and had refreshments. Rani was too excited about the trip and described her experience with friends.
