Update on Rani from SOS Children's Village, June 2015

Dear Friend,

Greetings!

It is every child's right to be able to dream big and acheive it and with your support as a sponsor, children at the SOS Children's Villages of India will sure be able to do so. Let me introduce you to the one such child from SOS Children's Village; Rani. Rani is a lovely young girl, very jovial and talkative. On my visit to the home, she greeted me with a smile and we bacame friends instantly. She turned 11 this year and is growing up into a normal healthy child.

Life at the village Rani is a very close to her mother and sisters in the family here. She loves to go for an outing with them. She also loves to play hide and seek with her brothers. "I watch horror films along with my brothers and sisters but I get scared, I still want to keep watching," she told me. Dancing diva - the young girl is turning out to be a good dancer. She practises different dance forms by imitating them from the television shows. She wants to take up professional dance training in the future to hone her skills. She dreams of becoming a good dancer when she grows up.

With your support, Rani has been able to receive formal education from a good school. She has passed class IV and will be admitted to class V at a girls school. She is doing well in her studies and shows the willingness to work hard in the future as well. At the recently held block level sports event at her school, she won 2nd prize in the 200 mt run race and was very thrilled with her achievement. "Winning a prize at a block level competition was a very happy moment for me," she told me.

Rani is growing up into a confident girl who dreams of making it big in life. This has been possible only because of you sponsoring the child. Thank you very much for supporting the child and we hope that you will continue to extend the support in future as well.

Yours sincerely,
